The love story of Jen and Anthony was told in a way that everyone of their wedding guests were laughing and in tears. Matt Thuney explained how a gathering of friends, turned into a party of 2, and from there blossomed a beautiful and incredibly strong love.
For me, I met Jen and Anthony and they were quiet, sweet and serious about their vision for this day. We ended up scheduling their Engagement Session at one of their favorite locations, Teddy Bear Cove in Bellingham. The hike was a bit difficult for me to navigate with a camera back and equipment but these two made the trip down in minutes ... with Jen in FLIP FLOPS! They both met me at the bottom and made it look effortless, as if they just strolled out of the mall! These two loved the outdoors, the beauty of the PNW and adventure. I knew their wedding was going to be dazzling!
When my team arrived to document this wedding we were met by excited family and friends. As usual when we shoot both Photography & Videography I was with my amazing husband and videographer Jason, and my incredible second shooter Tessa! We dove right in and made sure to start the story of their big day, with little details and big emotions!
Jen and Anthony decided on a First Look (which you've heard me say before we LOVE), but she also wanted to include her Father, and have a separate First Look with just him. We've talked about this new trend before, and we cannot get enough of it! Dad's are filled with emotions on their daughter's wedding day, so why not capture these tender moments forever?
After we covered the Father/Daughter First Look, we hid Jen away one more time and then set Anthony is the perfect spot for a quiet and sweet reveal.
After First looks Jen and Anthony took the time to have their Couple's Portraits done. With the perfect amount of time scheduled for both photography and videography before the ceremony, it allowed these two the freedom to enjoy their day without many time constraints.
We grabbed the wedding party, and shot some fun moments before moving on to family portraits. All before the ceremony even started! These two wanted to make sure there was plenty of time to eat, dance and mingle once the reception started. We are sure glad they did!
Their ceremony was elegant, classic and at the same time had a very fun tone. Beyond the unique opening of their ceremony where the officiant Matt Thuney - had the guests laughing and enjoying the story of the couple's meeting, to the unique ceremony of SHOTS! Yes, they took shots! They embraced their cultural backgrounds and drank to their future together as Husband and Wife!
After the ceremony it was time to enjoy their family and friends, and just have FUN! The Lairmont never fails to impress with it's ability to turn an outdoor wedding - weather friendly - in a pinch! Under the cover of their white tents, Jen and Anthony celebrated their love and danced into the night.
The entire day from start to finish was beyond gorgeous. From incredible attention to detail, to pristine decor and ambiance, Jen and Anthony created a experience on their wedding day that guests will not soon forget!
Congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. Zapata!
As always credit must be given to all the amazing wedding day vendors who helped this lovely couple achieve their vision for their day!
